Drawlidays VI Portrait Exhibition 2025
Dates: December 12th – 18th, 2025
Location: ODD Gallery, Dënäkär Zho | KIAC
Indigenous Territory: Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in territory, Dawson City, Yukon
Originally created by Aubyn O’Grady and now lovingly organized by KIAC, Drawlidays VI is our beloved annual Secret Santa–style portrait exchange and community fundraiser.
How it works:
By drawing names, you’ll be secretly assigned someone in Dawson to create a portrait of, and at the very same time, someone else will be secretly creating a portrait of you. You’ll have one month to complete your artwork before the big reveal at the December exhibition.
Drawlidays is all about creativity, generosity, surprise, and celebrating one another through art.
The Rules
- Portraits must remain in the second dimension:
Drawings, paintings, collages, etc. flat(ish) works on paper or similar materials. - Participants must be in Dawson.
We cannot accept portraits by mail. - If you’re leaving town before the final deadline, you are responsible for ensuring your portrait is delivered in advance.
There is no bigger bummer than not finding your portrait among the others!
Exhibition & Pick-Up
On the evening of the Drawlidays exhibition in December, all portraits will be unveiled and hung in the ODD Gallery for public viewing.
Portraits will remain on display for one week only, after which participants can pick up their artwork and take home a brand-new rendering of themselves to treasure (or proudly hang above the mantle).
